A Foundation of Fitness – Founder, Joy Scott
With over 20 years of experience in fitness, pilates and dance, Bodi 'n Motion Founder Joy Scott offers a dynamic, innovative and fun approach to achieving a total well-being. Joy began studying and practicing pilates in the 80s, while studing dance at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City long before the style became popluar. She has taught fitness and dance for 15 years and has choreographed and performed with various dance troupes in New York City and Fairfield County. Joy has received her teaching certificate through The School of The Hartford Ballet and is Pilates Certified through Equinox, NYC, with Linda Farrell.
She continues her pilates education through Stott Pilates training . Joy is also Reiki 1 certified as well as a Total Barre Certified through Merrithew Health & Fitness.
